April 5, 2025:

• Explored area: Idaho City to Placerville to Garden Valley, Idaho.

• North of Placerville, Idaho is where I hear a whoop two summers ago.

• There was still a great deal of snow on the ground; it is still winter up there.

• The only tracks I saw were a highly weathered set of what I believe were wolf tracks.

• Heard nothing.
