Mores Mountain Trail - Bogus Basin

North of the Bogus Basin Ski Resort which is north of Boise, Idaho, is the Mores Mountain Trailhead.  

The Boise Ridge Road is an all-season passenger car road which travels from the ski resort parking lot to Harris Creek Summit.  About 2.5 miles from the ski resort a side road goes off to the right and takes you up to the little park at Mores Mountain.

We unloaded the ATV and left the truck at Bogus Basin and enjoyed the beautiful fall day's ride up to the trailhead.

The trailhead has limited camping spots, picnic facilities, a restroom, and several hiking trails.  Not all of the trails are loops, so check your route carefully.  

Obviously the trailhead is closed in the winter to car and ATV traffic.
