Fairview was located on the north side of War Eagle Mountain. At its heyday, Fairview was a townsite of about 200 buildings. Eventually, a forest fire burned the town to the ground and there are very few signs of it remaining. One location that you can visit is the Fairview Cemetery.

Right after this photo was taken at South Mountain City, a huge thunderclap went off overhead. The truck was over 60 miles away. It began raining very heavily on us and we got caught in the Owyhee County Gumbo. We slid all over the road all of the way back to the truck. It was a great trip!
