Burgdorf

The area northeast of McCall, Idaho is absolutely amazing.  Right in the center of this wilderness lies what remains of the town of Burgdorf.  It is worth a visit.

The easiest way to reach Burgdorf is via McCall.   At the north end of Payette Lake, turn right (east) on Warren Wagon Road.  Stay on this road until the pavement ends and then turn left onto French Creek Road.    Burgdorf Hot Springs is a couple miles down this road.

Burgdorf Hot Springs is a small settlement from the late 1800's.  There are a number of old buildings, a hot springs pool, and some cabins available to rent overnight.  In addition, there are several forest service campgrounds in the area.

 There are an infinite number of jeep trails which can be used for exploring in the area.
