Bigfoot: AKA - The Sasquatch

But what is the truth about Bigfoot?
In October 1967, two men exploring in northern California filmed a 16mm movie of an unknown bipedal creature briskly walking away from them at an oblique angle. The legend of "Patty" was born.
This film taken by Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin has become the most contested piece of "evidence" supporting the potential existence of Bigfoot. In the 58 years since the film was taken, the film has been dissected, digitized, reproduced, enhanced, and studied by thousands of amateur and professional sleuths determined to discover the truth about Bigfoot. No-one has been able to prove the film a fake. However, no-one has been able to prove that the subject in the film is a living, unknown creature either.
What is known is that "something" walked in front of that camera in October 1967. Of this, there is no doubt.
Convincingly replicating the biomechanics of a very large animal with non-human body ratios requires complex mechanisms with the ability to walk in a manner which is significantly non-human (stooped-over, bent-leg walking). Creating an animatronic model of a creature such as a Bigfoot is highly complicated and expensive.
It is widely agreed upon that the technology to fake this creature so convincingly did not exist in 1967. "Ape-man" costumes used in the movie industry at that time were quite comical and it was easy to see that they were obviously a "man in a monkey suit". If the technology to create a convincing suit did not exist in 1967, then the film cannot be a hoax. If the film is not a hoax, then the creature must be real. Hmm.
If Bigfoot does not exist as a biological creature, then what is it that everyone has been seeing, hearing, and smelling over the past several hundred to thousands of years? SOMETHING is leaving tracks all across the globe, often times in very rugged and remote locations. All that is required is for ONE of these pieces of perceived evidence to be genuine to prove that Bigfoots exist. The challenge is in how to make that determination.
At the end of my book "Bigfoot is Real", available below, I stated that I really do not KNOW any more now about the reality of Bigfoot than I did when my interest was first kindled after reading a January 1969 Reader's Digest article titled: "Is there an American Abominable Snowman?"
Realizing my lack of answers motivates me to continue striving to learn more about the phenomena. Should Bigfoot be real or not, I want to know.
