Driving along southern Oregon coast the 2 of us stopped to take a break and wake up. It was a pitch dark night, we were standing quietly against the car on the shoulder of the road, and could hear a truck with trailer coming in our direction.   We were noting it was extremely quiet and suddenly out of the clear blue we heard a very loud, shrill, unearthly cry from something seemingly large. It was powerful but short, just once, nothing like either of us had ever heard before.

Both of us have been in wild many times and never experienced the overwhelming feeling that followed; there was a sense of not necessarily being watched but that we needed to leave –now – it felt very uncomfortable.  No sense of alarm there was an just overwhelming sense we were supposed to leave.   No impending danger – we just didn’t belong there.

At the same time we ask and agreed that we needed to leave.  Upon shutting my door, there was no overhead light, but in my mind’s eye I saw a bigfoot face in my window and recoiled.  We left the area.

It was about 5 years ago my brother lived up above Walport on 100 acre's of protected land. It was July and he invited us to camp by the creek a couple good blocks Away approximately from the house. My brother's dog would always growl and act like he saw something. I had the creeps like I never had before camping. It was midnight and we had a campfire my sisters Freind was playing his guitar. My brother came after work to join us. All of a sudden we heard a loud noise like a 2 rocks being clacked together just once. The next day I was sitting in my camp chair looking down this gravel road when I saw one cross it. He looked 7 feet tall and had long hair hanging from his arms reminded me of eagles wings. I never believed in them until I seen that.

I have a few, but here is a couple of them.

When I was a hunting guide in Alaska back in the early 80's to the late 90's. I had flown out to a remote location west of Denali NP. to take a client caribou hunting. We had been there for 3 nights. From a high mountain blind I spotted a large black animal moving through some trees about 3/4 a mile away. I thought at first that it was a moose but we were not hunting moose. But I put my spotting scope on it and watched it walk through an opening. It was a Bigfoot! It had to have been at least 10 feet tall. I watched it for about an hour as it walked about 1/2mile. Several times it walked into clearings and we both could clearly see that it was for sure a Bigfoot. I believe that was in 1991.

Then on another hunting trip on the east side of Denali NP. I was with another client and had been raining heavy all night long and was still raining as we left out camp before daylight. We had to cross a creek that was about 15 feet wide and 2-3 feet deep. We were wearing hip waters but my client slipped and fell, got soaked and filled  his waters full of water. We carried extra boots, socks and clothes so, he changed them. This creek had steep banks on both sides about 8 feet high. When he was done we headed up the bank and when got to the top we found HUGE Bigfoot tracks in the mud. As we were looking at one of them commenting on how big and deep it was and how fresh it looked. The edge of the track caved in, I knew right then that those tracks were VERY FRESH. We believe that the Bigfoot walked right up to creek within about 10 feet of us without knowing we where there. It was still dark and raining hard, but with headlamps we saw that the Bigfoot. tracks went right along the trail that we were traveling on. Only he was going one way and we where going the other. His stride at least 3-5 times longer than ours and I would say that he weighed around 800 pounds.. His strike was one foot straight in front of the another in a straight line. Not side to side, right foot on right side, left foot on left side, like humans., for about 80 yards. We kept on going away from him and his tracks.. When we returned later that day some of the tracks were still visible. We took pictures of the tracks but they didn't come out very well so we decided to keep the story quite. After that I began taking a bag of plaster with me to camp so I could get a cast if I ever saw one again.   Of course I never saw any again.  I think that was in 1995.

I had an odd experience in Wa  regarding that. I did not see but I know one was there. Just because we don't see it doesn't mean we can't believe in something. feel free to text and I will explain what happened.

A couple of friends and I was walking down this trail in WA and all of a sudden I hit like this invisible brick wall that stops me in my tracks. At that moment I heard a grunt that I have never heard before and a strange smell.  Almost like death.  As we turn to run I spotted hairballs of a orange brownish very coarse hair. Then this huge pile of poop I mean huge. None I ever seen before in the woods.  I know it wasn't not no cow or elk. Prime location ( according to finding big foot )along the Chehalis river with cow farms and woods. Even though I have not seen one I believe they exist.

The Bigfoot event of my life I will never ever forget, I was about 11 maybe 12 years old I am now 47,but I will never ever forget it, I was on a camping trips with 4 adults and at least 30 kids I lived in Rapid City, South Dakota at the time and I was a member of the Boys Club, not affiliated with the national boys club of america, but anyway if we sold 100 tickets to the Greyhound race track we got to go on a field trip they were always so much fun, my two brothers would go with me and it was fun.

On one of the trips we went up to the Bighorn mountains and this is where my amazing encounter with Bigfoot occurred. I was asked to go get water from the river to put out the campfire I grabbed a tin can went to the lake, I was actually very upset that I didn't get to go hiking because the older kids went hiking where the younger kids like myself had to go fishing. I was just standing there with the water when I noticed a really, really, bad smell it was worse than sewer and way wore than a skunk. worse smell I ever smelled.

I enjoyed the beauty of the lake and the almost clear sky with just a few clouds I turned around to go back to camp when I turned around the Bigfoot was standing right behind me, I was shocked as you can imagine to have a bigfoot standing just a foot if not inches away from me just looking at me, I outstretched my neck and looked all the way up to his face he must of been 8 or 9 foot tall, brown hair and the most beautiful blue eyes I ever seen just a very friendly animal it seemed to be,

It did not growl at me or hurt me. rumors are they like kids and woman. I just stood there looking at this beast for the longest time in reality it was probably 30 seconds but it could of been 5 minutes or longer I was just so shocked to see this animal which I always thought was a myth to be standing right in front of me.

I ran back to the camp scared but never told anyone the first person I think I ever told was  my now Ex-girlfriend and my Niece.

but there it was standing there just looking at me. and no it was not a bear I know what a bear looks like. and it was not a bear bears dont have hands this thing had every body part a human has i was staring mostly at its huge mass of a body and its head so I am not sure if it was a male or female but I do believe it was a male because looking back I don't remember seeing any breasts on it. but being so shocked it could of been a flat chested Bigfoot.

I remember when the movie "Harry and the Hendrsons" came out in theatres I was shocked to see the amazing resembelance that the bigfoot from the film had to my encounter, it was almost dead on perfect the only thing that would be different is the forehead was  more outstretched and bigger than in the film. So yeah I believe I am one of the very few people in the world who saw a Bigfoot so close I doubt anyone else has ever seen a bigfoot within just inches away from them.

Its an experience I will always remember I will always remember the smell and what it looked like especially the smell.

July 19, 2015

Hi there!
I'm from Washington state, but I've lived in Idaho for the past 20-some odd years.
Had 2 experiences that I thought were kinda strange back in the 80's.  I'm a believer.

Incident 1:

In fact, my first auditory experience was in Big Lake, Washington. The second was in Rockport, Wa. That one was not a drawn out yell tho . More of a series of "whoops". But there was more than one "whooper". Sounded like 2 making calls back and forth.

 Incident 2:

I spent a lot of time out in the woods, but my experienced happened with a carload of people. We were parked and all of us got that feeling that we were being watched. But in a very threatening way. Really evoked my flight or fight response. I just wanted to get away from there as soon as possible. I feel that it followed us as we left. Took awhile for the feeling to lose its grip.   It was that way with all of us tho. We all had that feeling that we were in the wrong place. It affected all of us in the car.  It happened in Larrabee State park. Off Chuckanut Drive. Its a drive up to the park entrance.  Happened in the general parking area . You can Google it. Washington State.

Incidents 3 & 4:
My other two experiences were auditory. I've heard the same sounds since then in others recordings-- including the Ohio Scream. Have never seen any prints-- but that may be because I wasn't looking. :-)

I think I experienced infrasonics too. In a state park in Whatcom county in washington. Creepiest feeling I've ever had in my entire life.

Sept 29, 2018

My husband and I were camping near the rainforest and in the middle of the night something was tossing big rocks (not pebble stones) into the lake. The same thing walked into our campsite and breathed heavy before leaving. We were too scared to open the tent and just pretended to sleep. I am not a believer in Bigfoot but my husband is.

Sept 26, 2018

have actually SEEN "Bigfoot/Sasquatch" 2 separate times!

I am 52 years of age.  The 1st encounter, was in '73-'74.  I was a child, around 10 years old,  living in the Cascade/McCall area.

I was hiking through the woods, as I did, almost DAILEY.  I know the difference between a bear & what I saw! We saw bears, regularly & even fed them, occasionally, at an old dumpsite, in Round Valley, Idaho.  The "Creature/Animal" I saw, was NOT a bear!

It stood approximately 8 feet tall, had long brownish hair, & made sounds that NO bear makes.   I spotted movement, from the corner of my eye & heard noises, as if something was "stalking" me, from my right, adjacent to the wildlife trail, I was following.

I froze & looked to my right.  It took me 3-5 seconds to spot my curious companion.  It was about 25-30 feet away, standing there, watching me, watch it!

At such a close proximity, & not a lot of cover, I CLEARLY SAW THE ANIMAL!!!  However, it did not seem, in ANY way, threatening or malicious!  It seemed as CURIOUS, & HESITANT, as I was.

After we stared at one another for about 2-3 minutes (BOTH of us MOTIONLESS!), It looked over its right shoulder, sniffed loudly, as if testing the air.  Then turned, to face in the direction we had been going & calmly walked away.  I, however, was VERY excited & headed home, to tell my friends & family about my experience.

My 2nd encounter, was not so close in proximity.

I was in the Bitteroot Mountains, working for the National Forest Service, building & maintaining hiking trails.  This mountain range is near the Idaho/Montana border, in North East Idaho.

My crew & I had hiked 8-10 miles deep, into the range & had reached a "Y", in the trail.

I instructed 4-5 of my crew, to continue on the east trail & had one other, of my crew, continue on the north westerly trail.  We hiked in, another 5-6 miles.

We had just set down our packs & tools, next to the trail, at a rocky ledge, when we BOTH heard a kind of howl, in the distance, coming from the rocky cliff face, above us.

NO...NOT a wolf howl or bear,  as there are both up there & we both know what a wolf/bear sounds like!  This sound was eerie & guttural!  It sent chills up our spines & even made our skin crawl, a bit!  We paused & listened, but heard nothing more.

We got to work, repairing the trail.  About a hour or so, later, we heard another howl, only this time, coming from the cliff ledge, above us.  We both paused & looked at one another.  Both of us, a bit rattled by the sound!

After pausing, for a minute or so, basketball sized rocks began tumbling down toward us!

We both dodged out of harms way & asked, "What the f*#@k"!  Then, there was a screach-like sound & BIGGER BOULDERS, began falling!

I told my crewman to "STAY PUT" & I moved to the edgs of the cliff, with my sidearm, to see if I could see anything.  Once out from the mountainside, I was able to view the ledge, above us.  The ledge above, was about 50-60 yards & as I stood there, looking up, I felt a cold chill run through me!

I swear...My jaw hit the trail, my eyes bugged out of my head & I broke into a cold sweat!  As I stood there, staring up in absolute disbelief & amazement, I was staring directly into the eyes of a Sasquatch!!!!!  It stood about 6-7 feet tall, had long brownish-gold hair, & was grimacing at me, with aggression in its eyes & demeanor!

It was holding a boulder, NO man could pick up, at chest level, probably weighing about 600-800 pounds, as though paused in his task of throwing it over the side, at us/me!

As I stood there, dumbfounded, it kind of jumped forward, in an aggressive manner, and GROWLED, as though telling me to LEAVE IMMEDIATELY!

It then raised the boulder above its head & threw it down the cliffside at me!  I ran to my crewman, grabbed his arm & shouted, "Fucking RUN"!!!  We both ran down the trail, toward base camp & never looked back, until we arrived back at the "Y", in the trail!  That's 5-6 miles!!!!!!!!

We stopped to catch our breath & catch our 2nd wind!  Soon, we heard clanking & heavy footsteps, coming from the easterly trail!  We were both scared, to the point of almost pissing ourselves!

I pulled my sidearm (.45 A-1911 w/ Hydrashock, hollow points!), yet AGAIN,  and pointed it at the east trailhead!  Suddenly, my additional crew members, came tearing around the bend in the trail, with frightened looks upon their faces!  Upon seeing us, they came to a sliding halt!

My Crew Leader, for B Team, asked me, What the hell are you doing"?  I replied, " Thought you were a Sasquatch"!

He answered, "We heard the most bone-chilling scream, above us & heard branches cracking & something was growling & snuffing, as it ran towards us.  So, we dropped everything & ran here"!

Rigjt after he said this, the LOUDEST, MOST TERRIFYING, BLOOD CURDLING SCREAM, ANY OF US, with ALL our experience in the deep mountains, had EVER heard.  Came screaching down the mountainside!!!

With VERY LITTLE hesitation, we all blazed a trail down that mountain, to base camp!!

After a while, back at camp, we all settled down & collected ourselves.  Upon further discussion, we all came to the SAME conclusion.  It's time to break camp, FIRST thing in the morning.  And get the HELL OUT OF THERE!

That night, I assigned night guard duties, to ALL of us, with only my sidearm & a 30.06 hunting rifle, for "weapons"!  Don't really think that ANY of us slept well that night!

Next morning.. (4:00 am).. We packed up camp, in RECORD time & drove back to headquarters!!!

So...These are my 2 experiences with a Sasquatch!

Believe my stories.   Or, don't believe them.  We KNOW what we experienced, saw & felt!!!

  Feb 14 , 2019

Good evening.   Hope you’re well. I’m sure you’ve been inundated with replies. Well here is one more.

This happened 6ish years ago. Right before winter storm Nemo. Was driving in my semi across the upper peninsula of Michigan around 2am. Not another soul around. Snow had piled up on the roads and had recently been plowed. The road I was on was wide, 3 lanes plus a shoulder on each side. East and west bound plus a center lane for turning or passing. There was around 4 inches of fresh snow on the road and outside the should on each side, about 3 feet of snow packed up from what had already been plowed.

The snow on the road had no tire tracks at all on it. The only tracks were from me. Literally no one was out.

I had my brights on and was going about 15-20 mph. Wasn’t overdriving the conditions.

Suddenly I come across three sets of tracks going from one side of the road to the next. I could tell there was a very long gait between each step of each track and it was clearly a footprint. They appeared to be a longer step than a tall human would make, I’m 6’8 so my gait is long.

What also stuck out to me. There was no disturbance in the snow packed up on either side of the road.

I thought to myself, that couldn’t be from a human. As no houses were around and no one in their right mind would be out in this weather.

Unfortunately I kept on driving. In part, in case someone drove up behind me. Didn’t want to get rear ended.

I didn’t actually see what made those three tracks but do believe it wasn’t a human.

Was it a Sasquatch? I can’t say with 100% certainty.

Could it have been one?  I’m 99% sure it could have been.

Hi there.  Well, your post caught my attention and i thought I'd respond.  For what it's worth, anyone who would ridicule you for believing or searching for more evidence regarding the existence of sasquatch is a complete fool in my opinion.  I have never laid eyes on the creature, but, I have heard it loud and close while backpacking near Mt. St. Helens a few summers ago.

Evidently, whatever it was became disturbed by my playing an acoustic guitar one evening just after nightfall.  A friend and I were visiting an old cabin in the woods on the Siouxon River.  We had packed into the area many times before and never had any issues or suspicions of any such creature being around.  We had built a small fire to heat up some canned foods and grill some hotdogs. After eating, the fire was slowly fading away and I was playing my 12 string guitar while we sat and enjoyed the evening away from city life.  I had played and sang a few classic tunes and then sat my guitar down into its case to get up and go relieve myself.  As soon as I stood up, there was a ROAR from very nearby.

When I say ROAR,  I mean this creature was obviously not too happy about something and It felt like that something was us!  In one breath, the creature let out a deep-tone at super high volume and it lasted for at least 30 seconds before pausing for another breath to start roaring again!  At that point, I got into my backpack, pulled out a .45 auto and began firing rounds into the air.  When that clip was empty, I dropped it out and inserted my spare clip to chamber another round as fast as I could.

The echoes of the gunfire subsided into silence and we didnt hear any more vocals but there was a loud crash of tree branches breaking and a splash coming from the river/creek that was only maybe 30 yards from us but concealed by the trees enough where it was out of line of sight in the daylight.  We built that fire up to light the area best as possible.  Other than small flashlights we had no other light sources like a lantern or anything bright enough to provide some area light.  We sat back to back across from the fire, never looking into the fire direction so as not to be blinded and allow eyes to adjust to the surrounding darkness preceeded by dimly lit firelight for about 20 feet into the nearby trees etc.

It was a nerve-racking evening beyond that point and neither of us slept much until almost sunrise.  After the morning light came we went in search of anything obvious in the direction of the sounds of crashing woods and splashdown we heard after the gunfire.  There were no prints as the rocks and moss near the creek were just not going to provide any imprints or tracks, nor were the forest floor covered with evergreen needles going to be of any help providing evidence of the presence of a creature with lungs that big!

However, in the creek there lay the top 10-12 feet of a cedar tree that stood by the creek.  It had been snapped of at about 15 feet up from the base of the small tree.  Tree was about 16 inches diameter at the base and at least 8 to 10 inches diameter where the top half was snapped off and swirling in the small eddy current at the inside edge of a pool below some rapids in the creek.  The top was obviously from that tree as they were a match, both having freshly exposed splintered wood and torn cedar bark accordingly.  I postulated that the creature must have used the tree to slingshot itself across the pool to flee from the gunfire and the splash we heard was of that top and the creature impacting the water at nearly the same time.

We talk about the experience often but have never returned to that spot.  Hell, we have never been backpacking since the incident!  I know Bigfoot is a real life creature here.  Not a single doubt in my mind.  Whatever other people may think about our story is of no concern to me.  I KNOW what I heard and will never forget the shear fear of being confronted by such a sound as that unbelieveably long-winded ROAR.  It was enough to trigger a fight response in both of us as running in the dark was simply not an option when for all we knew there were more than one angry beast looking to attack us.  This thing was super pissed off!

My buddy says it didn't like that I had stopped playing music, I had thought it didn't like my singing!  Either way it wasn't friendly about letting us know who's part of the land we were invading. Or at least that is how we perceived it.  Who knows.....?

Note:

This is a bona-fide, true story! Just recalling the incident to type a description of the event has the hair on my arms and neck standing straight up.  NO Bullshit here man!  I will NEVER go into the woods without packing at least some kind of defense weapon, ever again!  And ive spent alot of time in the woods hunting and fishing. Backpacking into the wilderness for days at a time and I've taken down many deer, elk, a bear, antelope and others over the years but NOTHING has lungs as large as that creature that we heard that evening....NOTHING!   Bigfoot is REAL brother and that is no lie!  Feel free to include our story in any production or collection you may be ammassing.  Just remember to credit Mark D. and Michael C., from Vancouver, WA for our story.

July 24, 2021

My wife and I believe we had a Bigfoot encounter near Skookum Falls, Mt. Rainer area. A few years ago we hiked to this waterfall, not sure what time of the year it was to be honest. We made our way along the trail and up to the base of the waterfall around mid-day. Along the way we only crossed paths with a few people and saw only a couple others at the waterfall. We ended up spending a long while watching the cascading water until it got late enough that if didn't get going back, we would be hiking in the dark.

So we started to make our way back, leaving behind the only 2 people that we did see there. Somewhere about a quarter way back I decided to make a slight detour down to a spot by the  river that ran along side the trail. As we made our way back to the main trail we saw the couple we had left behind. They had caught up and got in front of us. I said to my wife let's wait a while so won't be pacing them. Once we got going again we got about halfway back to the trailhead. When we heard a sound in the distance.

Sounded like something falling, like a Boulder. Something big enough to make a tumbling, crashing sound in the direction and distance of the waterfall. Now the trail is about 4 miles long so this sound was traveling about 2 miles or so.. it was somewhat faint but to me (had lived most of my life by a steep mountain sloop and have seen/heard my share of falling rocks/boulders) it just sounded like a big rock had fallen. And the only surrounding area that could produce something like that would be the waterfall spot or a couple of adjacent spots to it, all again in the direction of the sound.

We didn't think much of it but then I started thinking of the Discovery Channel "Finding Bigfoot" and I started to ask my wife if she had seen the show before. She hadn't, and so I described it to her. Including the bit where they would try communicating with them by slamming a rock up against the trunk of a tree. I jokingly picked up a rock and started to mimick what I had seen. Hitting every other tree, of course no response... yet! I dropped the rock and we were getting close to about 3/4 of the way back.

When seemingly out of nowhere a tree branch fell from above! 1st thought was, it's only the wind... no wind... maybe it's just an old broken branch falling off from where it was perched. But the area it was coming down from, no near enough trees or limbs. Coincidence? Still unsure of that detail. What really started to freak us out was the sounds/rustling in the thicket.

The trail for the most part is open in a sense where there are trees all around but you can see through them all around you but only for a distance to both sides of the trail. The trail being paralleled by this thicket on one side and the river on the other. Well this said thicket was only maybe 20ft away from the trail. I thought to myself "if it's some kind of animal" whether a predator or not, I should make our presence known. So I grabbed the nearest rock and threw it in the direction of the sounds... nothing... I just told my wife keep walking! Don't run! Whether it's a predator or something else, running will not help the situation.

We both just kept a steady pace, unnervingly... our hearts were beating rapidly at this point. But then suddenly a minute or two after throwing the rock... A Loud, LOUD sound came from the thicket!! I couldn't explain it then or now... I still can't make any sense of it because to me it sounded like something metal and something was being Slammed into it, like a large dumpster type metal sound. It just didn't make any sense at all.

Nonetheless my wife and I were stopped in our tracks, eyes glued towards the thicket where the sound originated from. I quickly told her, let's go! My heart had sunk, heart almost beating out my chest! I again still reminded her to not run! Just walk faster,  I said. Her in front and I'm in the rear, looking back constantly. Luckily we were closing in to our vehicle!

We didn't get much else of an encounter than that. As we came to the trailhead I looked around. No one else was left, but us. The cars that were parked there when we started the hike, were no longer there. We were the last ones in that area... (i right then ruled out the possibility that a person had made the sound/sounds) more importantly what I had thought COULD have made that metal like sound a "Dumpster" in the parking area or near the toilets... none, nothing of the sort could be seen anywhere!

We were literally scared and relieved at the same time! That we did make it back.. as the last daylight faded and dusk took hold! I don't know if you would consider this an encounter with bigfoot but I can't seem to find any other reason for the way the details of the situation unraveled... that distant sound of a rock falling. And how I attribute that sound being created by the same bigfoot that closed the gap between us and the waterfall so fast! Unhuman speed to close those 2 miles in minutes! I believe the bigfoot was going about its thing and just happened to cause a rock to tumble near the waterfall. And I in response to that sound called it in to come closer to us by knocking on the trees... then that tree limb falling from nowhere to that horrific sound! That sound still to this day, even as I write this, makes me feel uneasy!

My wife and I in hindsight think that if it was a Bigfoot. It would seem like it was escorting us out of the area, being that it was his time to be out and about, just before it was to be getting dark out. I just don't know... all I know is that we have Not been back there ever since!
